Why I Came To Japan | 日本へ来た理由

I apologize for my out-of-control bangs, I’m in the process of growing them out and they’re in their awkward phase.
By the way, I’m not anti-drug, or anti-weed, it was just not something I ever wanted for myself, and while I’ve still never touched drugs, it’s totally a personal choice. It was just a lot harder to maintain that personal choice and have people respect it when I was growing up. Now that I am older, there are lots of people who respect my decisions, and I don’t feel so left out anymore. If you’re struggling with similar issues, I hope you can kind of find inspiration in knowing there are other people who know how you feel, and have turned their energy towards finding a lifestyle that agrees with them better 🙂
Sidenote, Japan does have a drinking culture, which I didn’t address in this video, but from what I have observed, it’s more acceptable now to join a party without drinking. When you sit down and everyone’s ordering their first round of beers, simply raise your hand and say “I’ll have a oolong-tea”, and most people won’t bother you for that. If they ask for explanation, you can explain that you’re not drinking, or say you have to drive, you’re pregnant, or you have work to do when you get home. ;p
